"Our second time at this hotel great location for a Scotland/Wales meet up. Great spa friendly staff came last year also and plan to come back next year. Great fo r a spa break. Really comfy bed and great coffee in the room. Suni the supervisor was v helpful and accommodating"

"We had a lovely stay in Room 15, and the staff were equally lovely, making us feel welcome throughout our visit. The bedroom was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated, with some really nice little touches throughout. The bathroom was equally impressive, offering plenty of space, a bath and a walk-in shower. Breakfast was included and was honestly one of the best full English breakfasts I’ve had. We also dined in the restaurant in the evening, and the food was just as impressive, with generous portions and a really high standard throughout. The decor throughout the hotel was of a very high standard, creating a welcoming atmosphere with a great vibe. Overall, a fantastic stay with lovely staff, excellent food and beautiful surroundings. We would definitely recommend!"

"We were thankful we could book this stay after 6pm online and get into our room soon after I did have a similar experience as another reviewer who said the manager had a card machine promt for me to pay I told him we had payed via hotels.com and after checking he apologized I asked to borrow an iron and was told they don't have one as they were new owners/managers So take your own if you can Nice pint and open fire in there It seems most punters know one another well and we did feel a little out of ace but it wasn't a problem really The room was small and we did have issue with old water system making a horrendous noise every time the toilet flushes (and in the next room) I would stay again if caught short but otherwise I'd probably stay elsewhere Sorry"

Rooms were clean and had everything you needed, air con was perfect and a comfortable bed. Breakfast was also lovely - would happily stay here again next time we visit Penrith. Thank you!"
