The hotel was beautiful, clean, the rooms were spacious, and the staff were absolutely phenomenal. Exceptionally close to the plaza and great walking distance to all the sites. Definitely highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is beautiful. Although completely modernised it has some beautiful old features. The staff were lovely and so helpful and the rooms were so nicely decorated. It’s smack in the middle of all the action too. Honestly I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Unfortunately the air conditioning in our room was not working. Our room stayed at 26 c (about 79 f). My parents room had great a/c and they had no problems, so apparently the hotel does have air conditioning. We asked about it and were told that maintenance would come, but it was never fixed and we spent a miserable 2nd night at 26 c. Other than being so hot, the hotel was in the perfect location, the breakfast was great, the room was nice. I wish I could give it 5 stars.

Excellent location, friendly staff, clean room. The room for real hot and AC won’t work. It was hot and temp inside won’t go down from 25* Staff came and gave us a fan to use 😆 saying that’s the best they can do at that time and would call technician the next day. That was our last night at the hotel so it didn’t matter to us.

Firstly the hotel couldn’t be more handy for the central sites of Madrid especially with Sol tube station within a minute of the door. Security was good with a card to access the hotel as it’s probably the busiest street in the city. Reception was always friendly with a hello on returning each day. The room was nicely decorated with a great shower, the bed was comfortable and the shelving unit was extremely usually for sorting out our belongings. We had Street view with a small balcony to look out from. There are plenty of options for dining out and an excellent Churros cafe close by for breakfast. Walking to the Royal places and Plaza Major took just a few minutes with the galleries and museums a few stops on the Metro. A few points I’d mention was the cost, you pay handsomely for location but no breakfast, just two water bottles regardless of length of stay and just a kettle rather than a more common coffee machine. This was the highest priced hotel on our trip but the worse WiFi. Noise was expected being in the centre but the Friday we stayed the widows did little to dull the revellers still shouting till 4am.
