Great location. Offers a basic room for a reasonable price. Nice roomy shower. Nice staff. The only minus is that the walls are thin and noise travels right through them. Noise wasn't a problem after 11.
I ended up leaving after one night as the room was so awful. Cold, dark, paper thin walls. I had a room without a balcony so don’t know if that would have been better, but it was pretty much the worst room I have ever stayed in. Staff unhelpful. Cheap but definitely not cheerful. Good location though

Great location. Very nice staff.
BUT Extremely noisy room. No soundproofing as advertised. We listened to neighbours conversations, music and snoring. The bathroom floor was not properly washed. The room was stuffy so frequently had to open the window.

Shops nearby. No breakfast offered. Near to many attractions.
The soundproofing in the room was quite poor, but it wasn't too disturbing for us anyway. The location was excellent. Special thanks to the really nice staff, great customer service!

I really liked the staff at this hostel, they were so kind and helpful! There was a match going on so prices in Madrid were high, but this wasn’t bad. Small room but great location and communication. Comfortable beds, a bit of noise from the street and next room, though it has been far worse in other places I’ve stayed here. I felt safe and welcome, so that was the most important to me!
The hotel was on the second floor and situated in an older Spanish building. (A lift was available). The staff and I got by with my very little Spanish. There was a map on the wall and a tear off copy which was very handy. It is close to Anton Martin tube station which with a little planning can get you all round Madrid. There are a lot of restaurant/cafes and the hotel is close to a square with more. I found a supermarket quite close.
Decent value for the price, but the room was tiny and cleanliness left something to be desired. There was mold in the shower and on the bathroom ceiling, and the blankets on the beds had visible stains/discoloration/potentially also mold. Room was tidied daily, but could use a good deep clean.
Location is great - 10 minute walk to Plaza Mayor, a Metro stop within a block or two - with plenty of good food/coffee/shopping nearby, and beds were comfortable.

The staff is curteuos and helpful.
Rooms are very small and in need of renovation, specially the bathrooms. Shower looks gross. There was dirt under the bed. Bed was okay, however it had just one long pillow on it; not good for two people to share.
Do NOT book this place. Read the negative reviews first so you know what to expect. The photos are misleading — the only real positive is the location.
We arrived around 10 a.m. and had informed them in advance. Check-in was at 2 p.m., which was fine, so we left our luggage and returned later. When we entered the room, it was extremely small, with no space for luggage, and the bathroom was dirty.
They mentioned an “interior patio,” but it’s just an empty building shaft with no seating or usable space. The ceiling had cracks, the floor felt unstable, the shower had mildew, and the curtain was broken and dirty. You can also hear everything through the walls.
Customer service was very poor. When I asked about other room options (we were willing to pay more), I was told all rooms were the same in a dismissive way. They also didn’t acknowledge that I had booked a single bed, not a double, and offered no apology.
They send constant messages about cleaning rules, requiring you to leave the room between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., which is very inconvenient.
Overall, a very disappointing stay and not worth the money
