Madeira Island hotel rooms a the Design Hotels

"this hotel was such a treat and I had a very comfortable stay with gorgeous amenities and views from the rooftop. You were greeted with Portuguese treats and Madeira wine in your room, slippers, and robes, which are always appreciated, and the breakfast had everything you needed (was obsessed with the glasses on the tables, so pretty!). All of the staff were super helpful, very friendly and attentive. I’m not even going to knock a star because who would do that for this reason, but I do wish they were adult hours or late night maybe from 8 to 10 adult hours for the indoor pool area. Their was a lovely spa and sauna, but there were a lot of children in the pool. The parking is also a little hard to get out of if you have a bigger car, but otherwise extremely convenient and just to be aware if you have a larger vehicle. I will be recommending this hotel as a wonderful stay and thank you so much for all your service to everyone on the staff! "

"The ocean was visible .we particularly enjoyed the beach cafe. My only criticism would be lack of privacy due to transclucent glass in shower and toilet plus the the toilet for was a sliding glass panel which was very noisy during the night"

"Honnêtement cest la pire hôtel que nous sommes allés depuis des années. Aucun savon et séchoir dans la salle-de-bain. Aucune machine à café et tout semble délabrer. Ne vous fiez pas aux photos, cet hotel a clairement besoin d’un rafraîchissement. Par contre, nous avons adoré les alentours, c’est vraiment magnifique et tout se fait à pied."

"Hotel location and parking were extremely hard to find and navigate. The hotel in itself was nice and had kind staff. Our room was upgraded but it had a very strange layout. Tub was in the middle of the room which is awkward if traveling with friends and family, the shower and sink leaked into the main room, and there was insufficient lighting. Other than that it was a pleasant stay! "
