We stayed at this hotel for one night to break up a longer road trip. It is within walking distance to the Louisville Slugger Museum, and the parking garage ($25/night) is conveniently located right next door to the hotel. The lobby of the hotel is small and kind of dark, but there is a brighter, larger space adjacent to it where you can eat the complimentary breakfast in the morning or charge your computer, catch up on work, etc. The rooms are clean, and the beds and pillows are very comfortable! The breakfast is tasty too and has something for everyone-- a nice selection of drinks and hot and cold items (cereal, toast, eggs, sausage, pancakes, etc). This was only my second trip to Louisville, and I probably won't have a reason to go again; however, I'd definitely book this Holiday Inn Express again if I needed accommodations in the city!

Large for a Holiday Inn Express & Suites, this newer downtown Louisville hotel is on the threshold between re-gentrified downtown and some sketchy areas. Staff and accommodations are what you'd expect from IHG. Parking can be confusing. It's right next door, but you've already passed it on a one-way street once you're at check-in. If you're loyal to Holiday Inn Express & Suites, you might want to try the other downtown Louisville location. (Uber and Lyft drivers confuse the two.)
