"Comfy family room with balcony and a nice view. Parked the car at QPark for 3 days for £15 per day. Aircon was a life saver since the weather was hot. TV was not full HD and couldn't connect to our gaming console."

"The hotel is an amazing old building and the staff are very very best we have ever had in many years of traveling the world! Truly helpful, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was fairly standard breakfast buffet but always hot and refilled regularly. The hotel is old, so if your a looking for a super modern hotel with clean lines, no character etc then this isn’t the hotel for you. Yes, it needs upgrading for sure but the beds were comfy, the rooms were clean despite stains etc on carpets that no one is going to get out! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay"

"The breakfast was very disappointing on the Saturday. The bacon, hash browns, sausages, eggs were only lukewarm. The croissants and pastries were not that fresh on Saturday either. The breakfast on Sunday was a little better. The room was clean. However the toilet seat was broken. We parked at the nearby train station"

"Staff were friendly and main area is maintained. I was put in a room with a new mattress they were trialling and had to ask to move rooms as it was like laying on a wooden board. Staff moved me straight away with no issues, although the old mattresses in the new room wasn't much better. Room was clean enough and ok for a 1 night stay. Main issue was the loud music keeping me awake till 3am, the windows did nothing to keep the noise out and sounded like I was in the club myself. It was a Mon/Tues night stay so I did not expect the noise. Wouldn't recommend or stay here again."

"We stayed one night in the deluxe suite. The suite was lovely, very spacious but I noticed some things that let it down which I wouldn’t have expected from the Celtic Manor brand such as, stain on the sofa in the living room, marks on the paint work, two lamps were not working in the living room. The bed was nice but it wasn’t a super king, it was two beds together so there was an uncomfortable ridge down the middle. There was no complimentary water in the room, only chargeable! Also, no blinds in the suite which meant as the windows were floor length, anyone outside can see straight in! The facilities were ok, the gym had the heating on in 30 degree heat which was ridiculous! The pool was very small with dirty grouting and the windows looked as though they hadn’t been cleaned in ages! The breakfast selection was ok, but the sausages, bacon, potatoes were so dry I couldn’t eat them. Overall, I think the property is slightly tired and needs some tlc… and I must say, I was astounded that were were charged for parking when it was in their property… all in all 6/10."

Holland House Hotel Cardiff By Sunday

"It was a hot day, the fridge in the room was not working, reported it, never got fixed, complained to the receptionist and we were told they are not obliged to to provide it. This hotel supposedly 4 star at best I will give 3 stars. It needs a make over.The parking is another corn, you fined a space and pay, for 24 hours parking but if go out and on return there is no space you will have to park somewhere else and pay. Why are taking parking fee for more cars than spaces they have. They should know how cars parking fee they have taken and not take anymore. I am not booking this hotel again."
