"The breakfast was excellent but could be a little more varied as we stayed 4 nights. Staff was helpful and welcoming. They took you to your room and showed you how everything worked. Had a night service leaving you a chocolate. Also had great housecoats. A surprise was a sparkling wine and mini cake left in our room for my birthday."

"My rating is partially on my stay but more so the staff experience. Background: I have always wanted to visit this property. I am from the West Coast in California and it is a long journey to get there upon arrival. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. It is everything that I wanted in terms of a retreat and a place to really have a sense of peace. Unfortunately, there were two events that happened in rapid succession and I was not happy or enthused at all. Rather than go into the details of what transpired, I would like to go more in depth into their response. We all make mistakes, however, what I found very refreshing was that one, they not only owned up to both incidents, but two, they made every conceivable effort to atone for them. That level of honesty and urgency is ultimately why I would visit this resort again. That level of dignity and respect is very much appreciated and it was because of that that I was able to enjoy the rest of my time there."
