"This facility deserves a five star rating because of the value it provides. Go there realizing it is an older motel....with one of the best locations on the Oregon coast. Every room has an ocean view of one of the few beaches that allows you to drive down onto the beach. The access road abuts the property. Some of the rooms, such as #331, have just been completely remodeled. Several have patio hot tubs. There is a rock formation with tidal pools accessible depending on tides. Remember, the ocean is always dangerous. #331 had full kitchen and bath/shower combo. Two queen beds. We rebooked it for two nights in December for less than $300 total, all fees included. Within blocks of D River. 10 minutes to Chinook Winds Casino. "

"The staff was very nice! They had some cookies while we were checking in, and it was nice to eat some hot chili! Room was clean and inviting! The pool and hot tub were great! I would totally be up to coming again! Yummy breakfast!"

"Front desk staff (male) isn't friendly nor helpful when questions are asked, both via phone call and in person. His answers are one worded, belittling and make guests feel like they should figure things out themselves and that our questions are dumb. I'd NOT assign him as a frontline team if you care about leaving good first impression of the property on guests. "
