"Room very clean, comfortable with a great view.Staff were great and went out of their way to make our anniversary special.Really great breakfast and although we had a minor room problem and had to be moved the management were extremely professional and looked after us well."

"This beautiful little budget resort is nestled in a valley outside of town. No ocean views here, but in exchange you get serenity, a gorgeous garden, and an attentive staff. The food is simple and good, I really enjoyed the seafood fried rice. You can walk to the nearby hospital cave, which I found very interesting, but for other attractions they’ll book you a car or rent you a scooter. I had a few small problems: the room could use a luggage rack or another table/dresser to lay out clothes, we didn’t have a lightbulb in our bedside lamp (they quickly provided one when asked), but overall we had a fantastic experience. This place is best enjoyed if you have some time to slow down and relax. Spend some time by the pool or the garden, away from the bustle and construction noise of town. We enjoyed hanging out at Serena almost more than the other sights at Cat Ba. We’re already talking about coming back! Oh, and the bartender makes some excellent cocktails and smoothies!"
