"Es muy bonito, si...pero tuve algún pequeño desengaño...la habitación muy oscura, la ducha muy compleja de usar, no tenía gel de baño...lo pedí y me dio en hombre de recepción después de dar vueltas por el hotel un botecito que olía a rancio, me dijo que era lo único que había encontrado...en fin...la televisión no funcionaba y decían que era por una tormenta de días anteriores, habría que renovarlas ya que son con TDT que ya no sé usan...que eran todas las habitaciones iguales me dijo el señor,...

"What an amazing hotel this ex-convent is. I can't think anytime to criticize. The check-in staff was friendliest ever and it all just went efficiently and as planned. Amongst the Paradores we have visited, the Plasencua may be our new favorite."

"The room was lovely although small for a superior. There was no free bottle of water or tea/coffee making equipment which is the normal for a Parador. The staff did provide these after we asked for them. Bed was very comfortable, bar staff were very nice although service a little slow. Food was delicious in the restaurant. The building was beautiful with very pleasing decorations. Would recommend this area especially for the gorge swimming areas."

"Beautiful hotel and lovely staff. Plasencia is abit of a dump but this hotel is a wonderful oasis. We stayed with our dogs. They had a big bed and bowls and nibbles welcoming them. We had a stunning suite. Loved our stay there"

"I stayed for business trip and the staff were very welcoming and helpful to me from when I arrived. My Spanish is not great but were always helpful to try and help or accommodate me. Breakfast was good and the evening buffet meals had variety of choice. Many of the guests clearly visit for the pool and spa facilities, as well as hiking trials and cycling routes in the area. I did not have time for this but had an enjoyable stay and would return due to the practical location and friendly staff."

"This place is rather grand and cavernous - but feels more like a place for conferences now (there's no bar to relax in), and the wide staircase and long stretches of corridors made it feel like The Overlook Hotel in The Shining. Despite having very few customers, we ended up in a room with a view overlooking what looked like the staff kitchen and cleaning room, and the central core of the hotel (basically all the metal shafts, etc.), where water was constantly dripping, echoing all night. Saying that we enjoyed the weirdness, and the staff were excellent, as was the buffet breakfast, which was included."
