Beautiful home in Kyoto!!!

We loved the area!!! The home is beautiful!!! All the comforts of a Japanese style home with western convinences!!! Gorgeous soaking tub to relax in every night after taking in all the sites!!! Owner is so gracious & hospitable!!! He made sure our family was well taken care of!!! We had JR Line pass for 7 days and we went to all the sites near & far. Home is a short walk to rail, bus & taxi service. There are small grocery stores and some eating places on the way to transportation svcs. The cherry blossoms were beautiful!!!

Beautifully renovated traditional home. The finishes were amazing. Large soaking tub, lovely rock garden, and projection screen tv. Plenty of room for a family of five. Full kitchen for cooking. Only downside would be steep stairs and a little bit out of the way to public transportation. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to family and friends.

Cute neighborhood home.

This residence was perfect for our family of 6. We enjoyed being in the neighborhood for a different experience than traditional hotel stay. Communication with the owner was great. He was very helpful with directions, etc. A little far from the train station if you have much luggage. We didn't mind the walk when we were just going to and from for sight seeing.

Beautiful Private Residence with Designer Touch

Our family of 4 stayed here and it was a wonderful experience! The owner came and picked us up at the train station which made things very convenient. He is a designer and designed the interior of the residence, which is beautifully decorated with antiques from several different countries. He had stocked the refrigerator with some breakfast items, which was a very welcome surprise! We really enjoyed our stay here and the staff had thought of all the creature comforts we needed and more!

Best Place in Kyoto

This was by far our best lodging experience of our trip to Japan. Tatsuya was the most friendly and accommodating host of our trip and even went out of his way to pick us up and pay for our cab out of pocker when we first got into the city. The house was very large, comfortable and filled with amenities. The neighborhood was amazing and filled with locals who were friendly and helpful. House was close to a subway stop and we were able to get all around the city very quickly. Overall just a wonderful experience. Thanks Tatsuya!

Indimenticabile. Varcare la soglia è come entrare in un meraviglioso universo di equilibrio e perfezione. Design ispiratissimo, atmosfera tradizionale giapponese con mescolanza di altre culture orientali (come Indonesia e Thailandia), gusto raffinatissimo dei materiali e degli arredi: legno scuro, lampade in vetro, tatami, futon, corridoi, finestre e porte scorrevoli che aprono nuove dimensioni, luci morbide e incantate. Può ospitare 6 persone. Cucina attrezzata per ogni menu, soggiorno con schermo, proiettore e collezione di film, sala per la cerimonia del tè, bagno con vasca e vista su un giardino giapponese. E infine una stanza originale e divertente per tutta la famiglia. Staff di estrema gentilezza e disponibilità. Unforgettable. Entering this Residence is like going into a wonderful universe of balance and perfection. Very original concept & design, traditional Japanese atmosphere with some influence from other Eastern cultures (such as Indonesia and Thailand), very refined materials and furnishings: dark woods, glass lamps, tatami, futon, corridors, windows and sliding doors that open up new dimensions, soft and dreamy light into every corner. It is large enough for 6 people. Fully equipped kitchen, living room with screen, projector and a movie collection, room for the tea ceremony, bathroom with bathtub and a view of a Japanese garden. Finally, one more room: a very special and funny space for the whole family. Very kind Staff.

It's very nice! clean and so comfortable! We really enjoyed "HIgashiyama-life of Kyoto". I found the area the best to go around famous places in Kyoto. The owner is a very nice person. He helped our stay so much. Thank you. We'd like to visit again!
