"Elegant and stylish hotel that is very big. Beautiful modern design although some areas need recarpeting and wall coverings replaced but this is in the minority. Rooms were very well appointed, bathrooms are beautiful with thick white towels. Flatscreen TV, complimentary water, comfortable beds. Staff are exceptional at reception. House keeping is superb. The location above the train station makes it so convenient plus there is a shopping mall and luxury department store all within the complex. Why stay anywhere else. Has a very large indoor pool too so my husband did laps for 40 mins. Highly recommended. "

"This Cross Hotel in Kyoto exceeded all expecations for what a hotel should be. The staff at the front desk and housekeeping were friendly and greeted when we saw them. The lobby, hallways, and rooms look super clean and new. The breakfast buffet was the best we've had in all of Japan. Bedding was the best we've had among all the hotels we stayed in Japan. We enjoyed this hotel Kyoto so much that we extended our planned stay by 2 days. Felt like we were home here. Huge thank you to the fellow at the front desk who advised us to take the Hankyu trains from Kyoto to Osaka instead of getting back on the Shinkansen. Only wish was a laundry facility but there's a public laundromat 1 block away. For reference, we had room 315"
