"Lovely beach and nice and quiet at night. Room cleaning was poor and had to ask for loo roll and bins to be emptied also kept forgetting to restock the coffee and sugar. Otherwise a nice stay"

"Nicest staff ever! Pool is beautiful and big, our poolside bungalow was also very spacious, the grounds are nice and the beach is a couple minutes walk. They cleaned our room daily and the breakfast included delicious Burmese food with western cuisine. We enjoyed a small beach party as well, every Wednesday. "
"We had a wonderful stay as two couples on a trip together at Kupu Kupu - everyone was so lovely and wanted to make sure we had everything we could possibly need. We felt so welcome and comfortable, our rooms were also beautiful. Everyone who worked there was amazing but in particular San and Andy were great. The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend. "
"The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is nice and updated. The breakfast, which is included, has a nice buffet and menu. The location is great - especially if you’re going to a full moon party. There’s also a nice gym connected to the hotel. The facilities are being updated, so there’s construction and it’s family friendly, so be ready for kids in the pool. All in all, we had a nice time."

"The beach area was beautiful it was clean the easy to reach from the hotel , there were other restaurants based along the beach so dining experience was wonderful to be beside the sea which is has not tidal . The area was quiet but this made it more special. The staff were most helpful and assisted in arranging a collection and drop off to the local ferry port. We could pay using card transfer and this assisted as there are many places which do not allow the same service and only want cash . We would very much like to return again in the future . "

"Family vacation, rooms (we had 2) weren’t ready on time of check in, we had to wait 1.5 hoirs at the top bar. We got coupon for “free drink” - I would expect much more than that. We ordered fruit shake but there was no Bananas and no mango so not really enough options. We were completely unsatisfied. When we finally got our rooms it was in the lowest floor ( we ordered”mountain view” rooms so it is quite ironic as we were literally 1 meter above the ground. Additionally, the stair railing outside the rooms were just being painted while we checked in and there was a pungent smell of fresh oil-based paint. I was also extremely mad as I specifically asked for two adjacent rooms , however each one was on a different floor level.
Overall when I complained the manager in charge just said he is very sorry and offered 20% discounts at the hotel restaurant- I didn’t know whether to cry or laugh!
Breakfast was somewhat lacking. The buffet was poor, not enough tables in the dining hall, slow service. There is definitely lots to improve!
Nice architecture- somewhat weird and clumsy though! Reminds me of the board game Snakes and Ladders. Only one elevator (4 buildings) and long climb and walk to the pool- which luckily is fantastic so it made our all stay enjoyable after all.
