For a one night business trip, this hotel is perfect. Inexpensive yet very conveniently located just in front of Kokura station, with plenty of dining choices within an easy walk. The room was comfortable, clean and large enough for my needs. (Just a place to sleep and relax a bit in the morning).

I enjoy APA hotel stay in different cities in Japan, and this has no exception. The location is excellent with only 5 minutes walk to Kokura station. The front desk staff were friendly, polite and respectful. The only thing I will complain was that breakfast service seemed to be short of staff. But I was not sure that was a special case for the day.

Good overall, very clean, convenient and reasonably priced. Only criticism is that the curtains in the room were not heavy enough to block out the morning light and the bed faced the window, so this could be an issue for people who are not early risers.

I've stayed at this hotel several times while on business in Kokura. Im usually very satisfied as this hotel is in a very convenient location with easy public parking just across the road. Unfortunately this time I was assigned a smoking room on a smoking floor. I don't smoke, so the odor was overpowering. Additionally, there was an ongoing party or other loud disturbance on the same floor, which prevented me from getting much sleep. Not happy.

A typical business hotel - clean, efficient and good value. Two very minor issues - the property is located at the 'rear' side of the station, so if arriving by train, be careful to take the right exit otherwise you may end up walking around in circles to find it. Also, the check-in is via automated self-serve screen and while there is always someone to help, can be a little confusing to anyone using this system for the first time.

The hotel facilities and room, as well as the staff were excellent, however i am not a fan of the new trend amongst budget hotels using self check-in electronic kiosks . There are always one or two staff assisting guests using these machines, so why arent those staff just behind the front desk greeting guest in the "old fashioned way"?
