Keystone is a neat place to stay. It is with in an hour or less to most attractions. It is seasonal. Not much was open yet. We were a week early so don't plan to do anything till the end of May in town.

Keystone is a small active town. Perfect for tourists. Kids will love it. The town is very close to Mt. Rushmore, and not that far from Crazy Horse. Drive slowly, there are a lot of people running around.

A wonderful town, and close to Mt.Rushmore (3m). The town is a delight, much nicer and quieter than Deadwood.

It is a nice little town, I have been to the Sturgis motorcycle rally going on 20 years, and can say having my family come out on a non motorcycle trip and experiencing their joy for the area brings more joy to me. And Keystone is amazing!

We liked Keystone well enough, but we were a little bummed because we weren't there during peak travel season, so a lot of seasonal stuff wasn't open. There was plenty to do, just not everything we were hoping to do.

Keystone is a very nice small town. I felt safe. Since we visited at the end of the season places were starting to close down so our eating options were limited unless we wanted to drive to Rapid City.
"We loved this place. Laid back, comfortable and friendly. Sherrie the manager is an absolute gem! Good place all around, and the location is great as a home base for exploring the incredible Black Hills area. Cool town, too. Really happy with this choice! Late July, plenty of motorcycles everywhere, so it's gloriously noisy- don't be surprised by this. "
"Excellent place to stay. Very large room for a good price and lots of shopping and dining within a mile. Very clean and comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again."
"My wife, son and parents stayed for 1 night after attending Mount Rushmore. Our rooms were very nice and clean. The following morning we left for Rapid City. We realized we had left behind a toy that our son bought in Medora. Upon calling the hotel they discovered the toy and set it aside so my parents could pick it up the next day. We were so very grateful."
" K Bar S Lodge is fantastic! View of Black Hills is superb, rooms are furnished with excellent mattresses; reasonably priced meals in their cafe; very tasty complimentary breakfast buffet served in Gazebo with great menu options; gracious and friendly welcoming staff; 15 minutes from Mt Rushmore; Very Friendly guests week before Sturgis Rally!
'Little surprised' that guests are charged 18.5% on top of menu prices to pay salaries of wait staff. Then another tips is optional but encouraged.
But we will return to K Bar S on our next trip to Mt Rushmore and Keystone area. "
"Everything was beyond our expectations. From the provided s'mores, gas campfires, disc golf, hiking trail, room comfort, peaceful nights, delicious restaurant and bathroom/showers - we'll be back!"
