"There was a family mart and 7-11 within walking distance. Easy access to two train stations. Also close to a steak house open in the evenings. It was easy to access, a great size for families and a safe location."

"This place was amazing! The directions to get to it were so well thought out by the host, we were initially worried, but the host made it so easy! The place is in a great location. Very clean, safe, and close to the metro. I am so glad I booked this place and would recommend it to anyone! "

"Location was excellent, close to many convenient stores, restaurants and bus/train station. The room itself was very clean, spacious and had all the amenities. Very very good value for the price "

"The room is nice, clean and well located. But I never got the check in email, even after calling the morning of my check in, and end up standing on the curb outside for thirty minutes making calls until I got in. I would still book with them again, the room was good. But timely check in emails really help a traveler. "

"Clean small apartment - walkable to a bustling part of the city. Shinjuku is an exciting area and just outside of the east station exit is a bit like vegas-meets-NY. I knew the area was active but I did not realize this apartment was smack in the middle of the night life (host bars, love hotels, etc) part of town. If that sounds like fun to you, this is a great deal. If you're looking for a family-friendly place to stay, this might not be the right move.

"The place was nice and enough room for 7 of us. Location was great as it was near train station, couple of 7-eleven, Lawson and restaurants. Would definitely recommend and would comeback again. Communication was clear and fast as well."

"Clean room and could easily accommodate for our family of 4. Close to the food areas as well as convenience stores without being in a high traffic area. "

"This hotel was my FAVORITE of my entire trip and I stayed at 5 different hotels in a 2 week trip.
Hotel Niwa Tokyo is a beatiful quaint hotel tucked away from the chaos. The room was small but I loved it more, it helped with decompressing after being in the mayhem (hahaha) of fellow traverls & locals in a big city.
The amenenties were amazing, they have this quiet outdoor area with chairs to decompres by the fountain while enjoying a freshly brewed hot tea or coffee (limited hours). There is also indoor seating with the view of the same outdoor area.
After a long day of walking 16,000+ steps you could sit in the quiet & dark room with full body massage chairs. There is a work out room with weights, and laundry room which was so helpful. You'll need to use the dryer a little longer, the washing machines are already preloaded with laundry detergent and paid with a credit card (no coins needed).
There is a water & ice station near the laundry room which i used everyday to fill up my refillabe water bottle. You seriously need to walk around with your trash all day that's why I took my own bottle.
My only regret is that I didn't buy a set of pajamas that they provided during my stay. The pajamas were so comfortable and breathable. I'll just have to go back next year. :)
Love this hotel and will definitely go back!!!!

"We really found this hotel fantastic. Last year we stayed at hotel naiwa which was also lovely but we found hotel metropolitan suited our needs more. House keeping was fantastic, everything was super clean. Highly recommend staying here! "
"I thought the cleaning staff would reset the room each day but we only received new towels which was appreciated. The pillows were quite uncomfortable and the room was incredibly smaller than other places I stayed throughout my trip. The hotel was close to the train and a few 7-elevens which was good but overall it was ok. "
