"We had a wonderful stay at Torel in Guimarães. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, and every interaction felt thoughtful and personal. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. Our room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and impeccably clean, with great attention to detail throughout. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. A particularly memorable touch was the handwritten welcome note waiting for us in the room — a small gesture that really made the stay feel special and personal. We also loved the hotel’s intimate little bar, which had a great atmosphere and was the perfect place to unwind in the evening. The breakfast was excellent as well, with high-quality ingredients and plenty of variety. The location is ideal for exploring Guimarães, with easy access to the historic center while still feeling like a quiet retreat. Overall, this was a standout stay and we would absolutely return.
