"I stayed at Shoji Lake Hotel from December 25–26 and it was unforgettable. The owner welcomed us like family, taking time to chat, recommend local walks, and make sure everything was perfect. Our room had an exceptional view of Lake Shoji and Mount Fuji
watching the sunrise over the mountain was a highlight. The room was clean and cozy, the onsen was wonderfully relaxing, and the atmosphere felt intimate and personal rather than hotel-like. I’ll definitely return"

"The property is very nice and had no problems with staff. They were very nice and helpful. However, for those looking to access public transportation this hotel is not for you.
I didn’t realize how far away this hotel was from bus stops or train stations when booking and found myself kind of stranded (I tried to walk to the bus stop 20minutes away and the streets immediately around the hotel are not designed for pedestrians). Have to use taxi to get to station. So if you have a car or other...
