"Nice place, clean and friendly both most important to me. Portable air conditioner was loud but better than having nothing for cooling. The building is very unique and is close to restaurants. Garden in the courtyard is a nice bonus."

"This hotel has the best location. With the beach across the street and tons of nearby restaurants, the area is so walkable. Staff is great if you need anything. The bar and restaurant is really convenient and we enjoyed the live music. The hotel decor and ambiance have old world charm with modern touches. While the rooms don’t have air conditioning, the windows open and there’s a fan. "

"The hotel has an excellent location. It is walking distance to Stanley Park and very easy access to public transportation. That though is the only positive thing I can say. The hotel was filthy. The room was not made with towels on the floor and beds and made. We told them, and an hour two later the room was made up. That was the only time the cleaning crew came into the room over our four nights stay. They did not make the beds change the linens or the towels. And the towels were so old that they were falling apart. The bathroom was old and dirty. There was dust caked on to the walls. There was a fire door at the top of the stairway with the sign that said for fire protection the door must be closed at all times. I think I saw it closed one time over the four night stay. I was sadly disappointed."

"I love, love, love this hotel. Staff are always exemplary, from front desk to room attendants, to general manager. Friendly, helpful, quick service. My only complaint this time, was there was almost zero water pressure in the kitchen sink, the tap literally dribbled. So I had to use the bathroom sink to get water for cooking, drinking or cleaning. Other than that, this hotel is always my go-to in Vancouver."
