"This hotel is well situated and the reception and bar areas are top class. The staff also are not to be faulted, providing a warm welcome and nothing too much trouble. The bedroom and decor however, leave much to be improved upon. Poor paint finishing, a wash basin in the main bedroom area separate from the shower and toilet, a dreadfully weak shower and a strange pump noise going on throughout the day/night intermittently. All easily remedied which would make this welcoming hotel one of the best in Shanklin I reckon."

"Fabulous accommodation in a lovely setting on a very quiet and well-maintained farm. Very spacious for 2 people, spotlessly clean and comfortable bed. Great to have chickens and goats right in front of the property. Shirley was the perfect host, very friendly and helpful, and we loved the welcome gifts. Very dog-friendly with easy walking along a bridleway and the added bonus of a secure field to loose dogs in too. Would definitely recommend this property."

"Great views from the bedroom towards the sea (apart from the infamous Shanklin lift shaft). Sun rise while lying in bed was fantastic to see. Staff were great and the food was good. Although some areas were a little worn and could do with a bit of TLC, it was very clean and tidy."

"Entertaining stay! The hotel itself is really nice, it's very clean and tidy throughout, which is so important to me personally. My room was roomy and had all that I required for a one night stay, even longer would have been fine also. the bathroom while a mixture of modern and old fashioned, again was fine for my stay, it had a lovely walking show fitted with a rain head, which was all very nice, toilet & sink though were a horrid pink, bit functional, although the cold tap had to be turned in the wrong directionion to make it work, which is like to see replaced with a new set, so they worked as expected. Breakfast was excellent, the quality of the produce used was excellent and this alone would make me return for another stopover, which I shall. My only criticism is that the fire alarm went off just after midnight, which turned into a right nightmare, as there was noone on site form the hotel itself, so 4 of us were left to try and resolve the problem, which resulted in the fire brigade having to attend and reassure us that we could rest easy for the rest of the night, what a bloody pain that was in the early hours.
