The setting is beautiful, away from the main tourist spots, so if you are looking for a private, peaceful getaway, this is your place! Easy to rent scooters and go exploring as well. The hotel is ideally located right on the beachfront great snorkeling in front of the hotel. It’s a short walk to the Main Street for the bars & restaurants. "Modala was beautiful. There are many hotels in Bohol, but I'm so glad we chose this one. The pool and beach are pristine and quiet, and we loved the shopping area attached to the hotel, with good restaurants, cafes, and lovely shops for souvenirs and handmade jewelry. The hotel restaurant was excellent, and the buffet breakfast was extensive and featured local delicacies from Bohol - something new every morning. The staff were so gracious and accommodating. I would return to Bohol just to stay at Modala again!"
