"I loved the convenience of getting to other places from the property. The owner of the place designed the place really well too and provided sufficient amenities such as home-made pastries/bread and cup noodles, which made our stay a really enjoyable one. Thank you!"
"That’s an old motel, the room had a strong cold cigarette smell that was impregnated in the air and in all fabrics, especially the pillows. It’s obviously a place where people go to have parties or worst and do not care about respecting the place. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westgate Hotel in Ximending, Taipei. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the MRT/subway station, surrounded by endless dining options, massage parlours, and within easy walking distance to everything in Ximending.
We booked the Executive Suite since we were traveling with four large suitcases, and the room was adequately spacious, clean, and comfortable. The standout, however, was the exceptional service—from the warm welcome at the front desk to the attentive staff in the restaurant, everyone was polite, friendly, and genuinely welcoming.
Our room included daily complimentary breakfast, offering a great selection of both Western and local dishes. The food was fresh, delicious, and well-presented—though it can get crowded at peak times.
Overall, Westgate Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again on our next visit to Taipei. Highly recommended for both location and hospitality."
"It’s a very top 5 star hotel in the location. I almost stay here every time I come. Very good except this time when I checked in, I was assigned a room with no espresso coffee Machine. But they correct it as soon as I asked."
