"The area we stayed in was a "motel" like setting and below our expectations. It was in walking disance to other things and that was the only thing good about it."

"We like the pool and the beach in front of the hotel, nice bar and foods there. The bed is comfortable, nice size. Unfortunately our room’s AC didn’t work properly so it was a bit hot. Otherwise we had a good time at there. "

"We had a fantastic stay! Great location, lovely view and the property managers were so attentive and helpful. The condo is very well-equipped with beach chairs, coolers, etc and the kitchen is very well-stocked too. Overall, a great experience…we’ll definitely stay again!"

"Big Mahalo to the staff at Royal Kona Resort. We were greeted by a friendly team member at the front desk and pleasantly surprised that they upgraded our room and provided a bottle of champagne as it was our wedding anniversary. Rooms do feel a bit dated and the resort buildings are undergoing a much needed facelift. None of that detracted from our stay. Excellent location with plenty of restaurants, bars and shopping in very close walking distance. Big shoutout to Autumn at the Don’s Mai Tai bar in the hotel. She provided excellent service and was engaging in our many visits…and she makes a fantastic 1945 Mai Tai. Absolutely a great experience and I would not hesitate to stay here again. "

"Enternet was slow and aircon in living room didn’t work. Be we are local and from the island so it didn’t affect us in anyway. We enjoyed our stay and had the best family putting for the weekend. Would definitely do it again. Mahalo"

"Beautiful ocean view room, but no AC, kitchen sink or tv despite being given kitchen towels & dish soap. Tarnished silverware in drawer to use…ew! TV for storm information would’ve been useful. AC would have made room more comfortable due to storm/rain making it impossible to leave windows open plus safety in sleeping leaving ground floor windows open & slider unsecure if left open. Roof tore off by storm during our stay. Had to evacuate but given no assistance in securing new accommodation nor a refund yet for our prepaid stay! "

"What stands out the most is watching the sunsets while standing out on the narrow deck. Place was so clean and ready for our stay when we entered. Thank you Grand and your cleaners for your excellent service. If there was one thing that might need to improve our the mats. There are 3 main mats (kitchen, bathroom and entry) are very thin and prone to buckling everything we walk over them. What we need are the thicker ones with the sticky bottoms for traction to the hardwood floors. There were a couple of occasions where I slid on moving mat causing a near trip and fall situation. Anyways, just something for owner to consider. Thank you for listening. Aloha and hope to be back next year"
