"Just booked in for one night just me and my dog my room was big I had a choice of double bed or 2singlebeds all to myself everything was spotless . Staff were helpful and very nice good food and fab breakfast. I would definitely use them again"

"The hotel is conveniently located with amazing views of the castle and the surrounding grounds, including the fields where the sheep graze. I stayed the first night in the room with the terrace, which I recommend. It is perfect for laying on the couch outside after dark to do some serious stargazing. The second night I stayed in apartment 27. There were stairs to climb to get to the apartment, but it was worth it. The apartment was lovely and clean and large (2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and a living/kitchen area), and the water pressure in the shower of the bathroom with the skylight was the BEST water pressure I've ever had in a shower in my entire life - at home or on the road. The staff was mostly very friendly, except for one waiter who was working during breakfast in the restaurant both mornings that I was there who was not friendly. But everyone else was super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend."

"The staff were very obliging and helpful, always smiling and approchable. Pleasant lovely to my two bichons always took time to fuss them. A large green to walk my dogs. The premises were clean and tidy. Parking was excellent π. Breakfast was lovely and tasty, and plenty of it, a good selection. First time I've used Purdy Lodge, but will certainly use it again. Very reasonably priced also. Also looked out onto green fields. The only thing I could find was the fact that there were no Subtitles on TV. Difficult as I am deaf. But a throughly enjoyable stay. "Ideal location-Parking was a bit of a problem when we arrived mid-afternoon but eventually found a spot near the village green. The room was comfortable -although I wouldn't exactly call it a 'seaview' more of a sea glimpse. The breakfast was fabulous, plenty to choose from and served up by Mark-the lovely, friendly host."

"Lovely stay at a lovely location. Staff were lovely a d the lookout room was great. Breakfast was also delicious. My only critique would be the dinner menu didn't have many vegetarian options (one starter, one main and one salad) so we ended up having to get a takeaway instead of dining I. The restaurant."
