"I am a Canadian of Finnish decent and a friend of mine recommended the Home Hotel. I gotta tell you its a great hotel. Yes I was a little apprehensive at first as I heard it used to be a jail...but everything was amazing! From how they redesigned the place...to the lighting...to the super knowledgable and friendly staff...to the amazingly tasty buffet breakfast...to the heated bathroom floors and the super comfy bed it was a 10/10. Oh also the location! Just a 5-10 minute walk to the tourist zone of Helsinki...but far enough to be super quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend this one!"

"You cannot beat this hotel for location. It is a short walk from the main station. It is connected to the mall and subway stations and it is in the heart of Helsinki! Personally, I loved their breakfast. The freshness and organic nature of the food was much appreciated. The staff were incredible and you couldn't ask for better. However, the rooms are kind of small, amenities lacking and just basic overall. "
