Great stay

The Folks hotel simply is great ! lovely sauna, steam room and gym. The Hotel was very clean, modern and comfortable. With a tram stop about a minute away its was easy to get all around Helsinki.

Good hotel

Very clean hotel. Great location near the tram station with easy access to Messukeskus. The only problem for a tea lover like me is that the room do not contain a kettle. To me, the kettel is more impoprtant than the mini-bar available in the room. However, They have a common kitchen that can be used for this purpose.

Upon arriving to the hotel I was immediately met with a warm welcome and smile. The check-in process was smooth and efficient and I was even given an upgrade which was a nice bonus. There was such a sweet note and dessert in the room on arrival. Staff have been friendly throughout my entire stay, always offering a warm welcome or helpful advice. The common kitchen was awesome, we made some eggs and bacon in the morning and had some snacks in the evening. Central location, easily accessible by transport. I need to give a special shoutout to Maria for her hospitality. Truly went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and pleasant. (To the manager reading this please give her some recognition of her hard work)

Ok hotel

Clean and nice room located ground floor without any view and far from checkin area. Very long checkin time. Breakfast ok but no bacon nor beans or pancakes. Poor cleanup in the restaurant. Poor tv channel assortment.

This was my first trip to Europe. This hotel had everything that I was looking for and made my visit to Finland even more enjoyable. The staff was super friendly. The hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable and had all of the amenities that I was looking for - nice room with a view, a great workout room, a very nice restaurant and roof top bar, and a very cool space for coffee and to get some work done. The location was excellent also - walking distance to downtown Helsinki, grocery store and an outdoor music venue next door, and nice restaurants. As a bonus it's a couple blocks away from Linnanmaki, the amusement park in Helsinki. All of that for a really good price!

Even better than I expected 😍

Fabulous hotel. Lovely warm welcome even though my flight was cancelled/rearranged and I didn't end up landing at the hotel until midnight. I was upgraded to a family room which gave me a huge room all to myself! The thing that really blew me away was the yoga studio 😍 a beautiful fairy light lit space I made full use of and enjoyed having a play on the frames around the room too. We have offices just down the road so the location is perfect and I hope to be back one day!

I was in for a visit from the United States and wanted to find a place to stay that was easy access to downtown Heslinki but without the high cost. This place was perfect for me. The staff is exceptionally nice. The place was super clean and quiet with a great little workout room. There is a roof top bar and a beautiful restaurant and wine bar. I enjoy starting my day at coffee shops and discovered the hotel had a perfect spot for coffee and to get some work done. The location was great also. There is an outdoor venue with live music next door and a grocery store also. I walked and took a scooter to downtown. Highly recommend this place and plan to stay here again whenever I return to Finland.

Pros : Staff was unfailingly courteous and helpful . Breakfast was outstanding . Local transportation was fantastic for reaching the city. Local area as quiet unpleasant to walk around. Cons: Presumably a local climate means you need well sealed rooms but they can become stuffy with no options for opening the room to air . Internet was iffy. Most of the time it seemed to work well enough but it was pretty slow and often the effort to reconnect after being disconnected for some mysterious reason, was difficult.
