"Lovely comfortable room, spotlessly clean. Great bathroom with fab Penhaligon’s products. Had a relaxing stay (despite the noisy people in the next room waking me up!). Beautiful hotel with a really interesting history. Will definitely visit again. "

"Staff were friendly and helpful. Internet connection was very good and did not drop out. The food from the bar menu was of a good standard. "

"The room was very spacious and nice, clean nice view, had all the things that were needed, bathroom was okay, a little small but not too small, the shower water gets onto the floor and can soak the floor so be careful with that. But overall it’s great."

"Not the greatest place I have stayed in, had a room that faced onto the main road and barely had any sleep both nights.... rooms are very dated and in need of an urgent upgrade. I left the door hanger on asking for room to be serviced but on my return I found that the cleaner had just folded up wet and dirty towels and put them back on the radiator. There are no facilities to get food here at the hotel and the bar was not open at any time during our visit. Not faciliated for people with mobility issues either. "
