"Cozy little place, 2 bedrooms (1 double 1 single). We went as a couple with a 2 year old.
We set up the travel cot in the single bedroom.
Pleasant stay. Just remember to buy groceries during the day as most places close by 5 or 6pm."

Beatrix Potter's charming characters come alive at the gallery in this Lake District village with cobbled lanes and whitewashed cottages. Hike the surrounding fells or rent a rowboat on nearby Windermere Lake, then sample local ales at the 17th-century pubs.
"We loved the history of the property. Our booking was very last minute since we were let down by another hotel. The Lakeside Hotel and Spa is very clean, you can feel the warmth when you walk into the property. Overall it was a good experience. The one thing i did noticed is you have to book your table for dinner every night otherwise you end up without a sit-in dinning. And we ended up skipping dessert a few times because as soon as the restaurants got busy it would take nearly 40minutes to get someone’s attention either for the dessert menu or the bill, i think personally think they may be short staffed? Not sure. But the staff in general are very good and nice people. We would definitely come back for another visit soon.

"Excellent hotel with stunning views of Lake Windermere from the terrace. Hotel staff are friendly and rooms are very comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay again. "
"Such a lovely stay. Lovely welcome and friendly receptionist very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Enjoyed the pool & spa area, didn’t get to the gym but it looked good with a great view. Would highly recommend. "
"We loved the way the property- an old tannery- had been converted into a hotel with a lot of unique properties. Unfortunately, it had some challenges for disabled people: going up and down stairs, for example. They had a little chair lift in two places, but the wheelchair had to be carried manually up and down stairs. There was great difficulty for going from our ground floor room to breakfast on 2nd floor. They offered to accommodate by bringing breakfast down to us in the bar area of ground floor, and helping us with the stairs in several ways, but it was still challenging. The rooms were nice and clean and comfortably large, but there was no A/C, and no microwave or fridge, and little space for unpacking clothes. We had a wonderful view out over the river from our room. The bar or dining room, "The Tannery", had a nice selection of options for evening meals, which we used a couple of times, but they seemed to be out of the things that we would have enjoyed most. We loved the ancient feeling of the city, including a beautiful cathedral and an enchanting old castle."
"Another excellent stay at the Keswick Country House Hotel.
The breakfasts and evening meals are always great & the staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful."
