"Paid extra to upgrade our room to oceanfront. It was an amazing view! The sunset view was awesome and the sound of the waves from the ocean was so relaxing. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Only thing missing was a microwave! The resort is walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again. The housekeeping staff were super friendly... although the front desk girl could have been friendlier. She needed to smile more. The restaurant staff were super friendly as well."

"We've stayed at the Hilo Hawaiian numerous times and each has gone well. The staff are always pleasent and helpful to our inquiries and requests. The location is great with ocean views and proximity to the beautiful Queen Liliuokalani Park, Volcano Nat Park and town shops and stores. It would be nice to have luggage stands in the rooms however the rooms are very large and spacious. We always enjoy our stays the Hilo Hawaiian and will return again. Thanks HHH!"
