"We had they most lovely stay at Hotel du Lac Signature. It’s in a great location right in the centre of the Old Quarter, and still just a few minutes away from Train Street.
The staff were all so friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. A special mention to Hotel Manager Thomas, who helped us sort out our return flight when it got cancelled, we really appreciated that. Every single staffs are super helpful as well, you can tell they genuinely care, and it made a huge difference to our stay.
The hotel itself is beautiful, and I especially loved the subtle scent throughout. We’re a family of five and stayed in interconnecting rooms, both rooms were spotless, with comfortable furniture, great air conditioning, really comfy bed and bedding, nice bathrooms. Everything was very well looked after.
The restaurant was also great. Breakfast had plenty of choice and the service was excellent. We had dinner one evening, food choice not massive but it's everything we wanted, and all are absolutely delicious.
We’d definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hanoi. Thank you for a wonderful stay. "
"Best customer service EVER! Upon my late check in, it was nice to be met with a cold towel, welcome drink & dried fruit. They even went so far as to make a little cake for me and deliver it to my room with a short birthday song! Location is great as it's literally right around the corner from the lake surroinded by many restaurants that also have sky bars. Breakfast has SO much variety & they offer cooked-to-order items as well. I didnt use the spa but it was nice to know that its a service. The property has great decor, super clean and is very quiet considering how busy the street below is. That said, the property is a little older & I(along some other guests) had an issue with a weird moldy smell in my room but I moved immediately. The staff are all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. They learned my name quickly, offered help with tours & local rec's, even walked me to my Grab to translate everytime I took a ride. Don't hesitate to give them a try. I felt so taken care of here & everyone helped to make my birthday in Hanoi a memorable one.🙏"
"5 star experience. You absolutely have to stay at this hotel. The service, amenities and overall experience was amazing. The staff were respectful, courteous and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We will definitely be staying here again in the future. "
"We loved this hotel and so pleased we reserved the king bed with separate seating area — what a lovely spot! The bed could not have been more comfortable and the room spacious and well appointed. We also loved the rooftop bar and patios. The old town location is great.
The wonderful setting aside, what really stood out for us was the fantastic staff. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Jess, the woman who checked us in and checked on us throughout our stay was fabulous. I also have to commend the Travel Desk manager, Lucy, who was so helpful and responsive to any question or request we had well before we even arrived.
All in all, we loved this property and highly recommend it.

"Cleaners cleaned the rooms every days with new towels. The front room with city view was a bit noisy even though our room was L6. They do supply ear plugs. Staff are courteous and helpful. Breakfast is enough with choice of eggs and Vietnamese noodles soup. Located is fantastic, close and walking distance to shops, restaurants and some attractions."
"NOT a 4 star hotel. This is a 2 star.
They don’t have a breakfast room and walk you to another, poor, hotel for a very basic breakfast. Spa is a woman sat outside the hotel offering massages. Luggage storage is luggage left in the lobby.
EXPEDIA SORT THIS OUT. THIS IS NOT 4 STAR, it is run down and hasn’t got the facilities it MUST have to be called 4 STAR. I have stayed in 4 star in Vietnam and this is not it.
Room is very basic and shabby, bathroom run down and door did not close. As bathroom door is next to the bed this not great in a family room of 3 sharing.
Location is inaccessible by car and you have to drag suitcases down a long alley, full of scooters (Vietnam is crazy for driving and cars and scooters rule over pedestrians). Will be writing to Expedia and sending photos when I get back, as this is so misrepresented it is almost funny."
