We only stayed for 1 night so it was ok but this hotel definitely needs renovation. Our room was ok but it looks like the entire hotel still smell like cold tobacco. The buffet was decent.

Was hoping swimming pool was running since website stated summer open but it wasn’t until July 20. It was a nice place overall. Older in the midst of remodeling.

Extremely beautiful and wonderful spot to go to. Not a lot of food immediately around, but take a bus over to the station and you'll find a lot. Sadly not 5-stars because expedia markets this hotel for 2-6 people per room, but when you book a room, it only does so for 2, and on arrival you have to pay to have the other 4 stay as well.

The rooms are a little old but really big. For an in room onsen, it’s value for money and there’s no complaints. The toiletries were great. It’s hard to get to the hotel after dark so you’d need a taxi for that. Thankfully taxi prices are affordable from hakone Yumoto station.

Hot bath is good and interestingly the male and female got switched the next day. Has outdoor too and outdoor foot hot bath. It has a machine that has hot green tea, apple tea and another type of Japanese tea.
