"Good: Comfortable bed, helpful and kind staff, all advertised amenities and more (a plug converter), good signage, close to shops. Not that good: The sprayers of the soap and shampoo bottles were too tight, not suitable for those liquids. The room smells humid when no air-conditioning, location is far from jetties, but as Male is a small island, it's not that big of a deal."

"I had a pleasant stay at Alaika Hotel in Maafushi. The hotel is clean, well-maintained, and the staff are very professional. Everything was well-organized, and I felt taken care of throughout my stay. Maafushi is also the most active and tourist-friendly island I visited, with plenty of activities, restaurants, and excursions available. "I stayed for a week during a conference. The hotel staff is exceptionally hospitable. I got the feeling that they genuinely care. They helped arrange a diving trip and book taxies. Airport pickup, laundry service, and breakfast were all satisfactory. The room was basic but clean and functional. The location is great too: close to the fish market and there were plenty of stores around. I highly recommend this place. "

"Staying at Ocean Pearl Maldives was short but truly memorable. Although we only had one day to enjoy Gulhi Island, the staff's warmth and attentiveness made every moment count. They knew it was my birthday and went out of their way to make it special, decorating our bed with fresh flowers and even suggesting a birthday cake (which we paid for ourselves, but the thoughtful gesture was appreciated nonetheless). It was a lovely surprise and added a personal touch to the stay. The property itself is clean, comfortable, and just a quick walk from the stunning Bikini Beach. The water was crystal clear, and the beach was peaceful, perfect for a relaxing afternoon."
