"Great location for visiting Tianamen and Forebidden City. Failed to clean room because we had not turned on a switch by the door but we were not aware. Breakfast OK m. Friendly staff willing to help. Compared to other hotels in China not the best value for quality."

"I booked two rooms at the Renaissance Beijing for my friends, one of whom uses a wheelchair. They were kept waiting a long time during check-in, and there was confusion locating the reservation. I had to send over the PDF with both confirmed booking IDs, which was frustrating. I’m not sure if this was an issue with Expedia or the hotel, but typically bookings should be easy to find by last name, so this shouldn’t have taken that long. To their credit, they upgraded his room for the inconvenience. The upgraded room was spacious and worked well for his wheelchair needs. The place was clean, and they were happy with their rooms overall. A rough and confusing check-in experience, but the stay itself was comfortable in the end."

"The Pan Pacific Beijing is located at a quiet cosy neighbourhood and easily accessible to The Joy City mall nextdoor, where most retail shops and F&B outlets which you need, are represented. Highly recommended for both business and family travels. Will revisit again when in Beijing next."

"The customer service from hotel staff at all levels (from the concierge, bell boy, check in staff, daily cleaners) was exceptional. The rooms were clean and modern and location was very central to everything. The Forbidden City (aka Palace Museum) and Tiannamen square was only a 10 minute walk away and Wangfujing pedestrian road was just on the other side of the APM mall across the street from the hotel with several metro station as options if metro is your preferred transport. Our stay would have recieved the full 5 stars had it not been for the sewage smell that we waft in the main area of the room every so often from the bathroom but this isn't the fault of the hotel but rather an infrastructure issue from the city's contruction as you will get that smell every so often when you walk past sewage drains in the city. The buffet option was excellent with a wide variety of food ranges from chinese food to western food options which was appreciated after 3 weeks of travel in China. Would definitely stay here again for the location, customer service levels and buffet option. "
