"Decent facilities with free parking. Breakfast ok wasn’t keen on the scramble egg everything else was nice. Enjoyed my stay would return. "

"The room was equipped with everything we needed . The only thing is that could be improved were the pillows- very lumpy and I was not about to try and contact housekeeping at three in the morning. Also some grout in the bathroom floor needed repair. The food in the restaurant was good and the staff everywhere were delightful."

"We had a wonderful two night stay and would highly recommend it. Staff in all areas were exceptional and service provided was the best we've had at any hotel. Clean comfortable room, great breakfasts and the Park Brasserie provided an excellent dining experience."

"Tired hotel on the outskirts of Colchester. The least friendly check in I’ve ever had at a hotel, miserable receptionist. The room stank of cigarette smoke and the cleanliness left a bit to be desired!"

"Dirty towels on the corridor floor for at least 20 hours. Room carpet badly stained. Room smelt musty and was tired and poorly equipped. Key cards kept failing and had to be reprogrammed. Communal areas were grim and unwelcoming. A very depressing stay despite the staff trying to be helpful. "
