"This hotel experience was a dream! My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Definitely will return to Hakone and spend more than a day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is breathtaking. We had a private tub on our balcony that was fed by a hot spring. Truly and amazing experience!"

"We had an amazing stay here in a western style room with our private onsen. The stuff is amazing, super friendly, and always responsive. The dinner is a multicourse Japanese dinner, and the breakfast is a mixed Japanese and western style buffet breakfast with extensive choices. They’ll pick you up and drop you off at the train station, which was great. We enjoyed the tea service, evening drum show, firefly viewing, and walking around the beautiful garden.. they have an upstairs and downstairs onsen How do you recommend this resort?"

"Property is very nice. Rooms are very large for Japanese rooms. The staff in the reception area were nice but at the same time gave a weird vibe. The hotel itself had a stuffiness of “old money” . Even though the restaurant in the hotel was well reviewed we had a bad experience there. Drinks were messed up as was the servicing of the food. The experience was not good at all. To the point that we cancelled the second reservation that we had in the Japanese restaurant at the hotel. We all got massages and those were very good. Overall, had hoped for a better experience considering it was a five star hotel."
