"Hmm, ja, was soll man sagen... Die Zimmer wurden nur nach Rückfrage gemacht, also meistens gar nicht. Handtuchwechsel nach 5 Tagen? Nur nach Aufforderung. Bettwäsche sollte auch mal nach einer Woche gewechselt werden, ist hier nicht Standard. Die Betten sind durchgelegen, müssten dringend erneuert werden. Die Gastronomie ist gut, der Wein könnte in einer Weingegend schon etwas günstiger sein."

"I made reservations to stay at this hotel, and paid in full, over 2 months in advance. When I arrived at the hotel at 3:30 pm to check in and drop off our bags, they did not have our reservation. I had paper copies, and emails, showing that we had in fact reserved a room. The manager had zero interest in trying to solve the problem and told us he couldn’t help us and there were no rooms available. This was our first day in Europe after an overnight flight from the US. "We went in off-season so the place was quiet and in a lovely location; a small quaint town. The room was large, however, the floor had a very loud creak when you walked across it. Not just small creak, very loud so that I was worried I'd wake my son or the people downstairs when I got up at night. There was no hair dryer in the room and I would have to go find the proprietor to get one so I didn't bother (no phone). No shampoo or lotion either. This would all be okay if it was a cheaper...

"Nice room with aircon that worked. Very nice electronic shower with powerful water. Comfortable bed and pillows. Good size room and bed Very nice impressive breakfast that included large rolled oats and loads of other cereals. Very good hot selection, pastry etc. might be the best breakfast I’ve ever had in hotel. Staff typically German, a bit cold."

"Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance from the arrival hall. Room was clean and comfortable. The pool was nice except that the water still feels cold despite it being heated. Overall a comfortable place to rest and recover from jet lag before traveling on for the holidays."

"Check in was pretty smooth. We arrived early and the room was not yet ready, but it was ready earlier than the 3 pm time. The room was clean and well organized. We got the loft suite and the sofa bed was made up for our kids right away. The room was pretty tight for space unfortunately, but it may be expected given the central location of the hotel. The AC was a bit weak and the room was often on the warm side until it was dark outside. We appreciated the two bathrooms a lot. The pool looked quite nice but we didn’t have the time to try it. Overall a pleasant stay. 😊"

"Everything was great. This was our second time staying here due to the helpfulness of staff and the great location. The only issue I had this time was a malfunctioning public toilet in the back of the main area near the orders train bridge that made walking through there so, so awful. Luckily, going that way isn’t necessary, but it still probably should have been addressed before it got to that state. Still, I understand not everything can be controlled, and everything else about our trip was perfect. I will return here when I am in Cologne again."
