Stunning views from balcony with sunsets Dolphins airforce fly pasts and large white belled fish eagles carrying fish to their nests flying right past our balcony on 8th floor

Staying 4 days (3 nights) here with my family for holidays. My room was spacious, clean, and quiet with a superb sea view! The hotel staffs were very helpful. The rate was also very competitive. Direct access to a beautiful and natural white-sand beach with many water activities. A pool with playground. It has provided plentiful free carparks. The dishes (ordered fried chicken chops and fried rice) at the hotel cafe are excellent! Astaka food court is within walking distance.

Worth a 2nd visit, certainly

Hotel has extremely helpful, friendly staff especially its reception personnel. Of worthy mention would be the Duty Manager Amirul. Room with seaview and a beachfront are invaluable assets of this hotel too.

Relaxing stay at Flamingo

Seaview rooms makes it a worthwhile stay and a beach front that’s attached to the hotel is a game changer. Near to local food offerings thus not having to go to town for meals makes for a relaxing vacation. Pool is sizeable though it's cleaning hours from 11 to 12pm was annoying but understandable due to fully clothed families using the pool thus cleaning up is necessary for other serious swimmers. Special note to reception staff who gave impeccable service, especially the hotel Duty Manager Amirul. Worth a repeat visit.

I can’t recommend this facility too highly, I am a frequent traveller and expect to be taken care of when I pay. Everything I requested was supplied without delay. Pretty close to 10 out of 10. Oh, the bed was amazing. Thanks Flamingo I will be back.

Very nice rooms

The best thing about this hotel is the rooms and the fact that it has been renovated in 2023. Beautiful view from the room. Location is good, but not many shops nearby. Some good restaurants near the hotel. In kilometers it’s not far to the center of George Town, but it’s much traffic, so it might take at least 30 minutes in daytime. Breakfast ok, but better in other hotels in the area. Pool close at 19:00 and closed between 11-12:00 for rinse. Mostly local tourists at this hotel.

The hotel has a 3 bedroom apartment with 3 bathrooms which is a rare find. The apartment is tastefully decorated and has an amazing view of the ocean. Whilst it has a dining table for 6, there is no kitchenette except for a bar fridge & tea/coffee and kettle in the master bedroom. Downside is that it gets quite noisy at night from the beach bar next door. In addition, the breakfast buffet spread isn't great in terms of choice and taste. Also worth noting that the spa has been closed for years.

Was very quiet when we stayed. Pool is nice. Breakfast was the same for 2 days then the it was changed on the 3rd day we only stayed z3 days. There is an egg station and soup station. Western and Malaysian is served. Bed was a little hard to my liking. Room was big. Best thing was the shower had hot water and lots of pressure. No smoking at the pool is a bonus. Walking distance to a few restaurants and the Tuesday night market. Make sure you walk to the Clay Pot Restaurant so good and reasonably priced. Took the local bus to the butterfly sanctuary 4 rim so cheap. The area is very quiet so might not suit everyone. Georgetown had more to do.

The only attraction is the pool but too many kids playing in the pool during weekends making it impossible to swim laps. Also too many people in the cafeteria during breakfast and services [food refill] are slow.
