The staff was so friendly and attentive and helpful. They made my time in Penang that much more enjoyable. It is also a very comfortable hotel. The location is right in the center of all the attractions I wanted to see. 10/10 would come here again!

Great central location, close to many famous eateries, walking distance (10-15min) to the famous mural streets, and only steps away from two grocery stores for souvenirs. Friendly staff and room is fairly clean. My only small complaint is the room and its bathroom are quite small, no counter space for toiletries and not enough hooks in the bathroom to hang towels and clothes.

Great location, breakfast is average but good enough to start the day. Photos of the swimming pool can be deceiving as the pool is in the shade during the afternoon

From our welcome at check-in through to our final day, our 12 day stay at Cittadines Connect Georgetown was a pleasure. The spacious foyer with plenty of seating options and coffee on hand, set the tone for our very comfortable King room. Buffet breakfasts were enjoyable with plenty of options. All staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel!

I really love the location of the hotel, lots of famous eateries nearby. Room is very clean and well maintained. However, it can be very noisy in the evening till late, poor sound proofing. My bestie and I went for penang bridge marathon and couldn’t get a good nap before the run

Close to good food.

A very small room. Space is very limited. The shower water pressure and the temp were inadequate. A thumb up is the good location to good food, the room cleanliness and the hotel provides free filtered water for drinking.

Overall very good experience in the hotel as staff was friendly and check in was smooth and fast. The hotel is also at a very convenient location, walkable to centre of Georgetown and restaurants. Bed was comfortable but wish there was thin and thick pillows to choose from. Shower head was leaking and bathroom door cannot be closed initially during our stay. Housekeeping did not replace hand towels on 2nd day and 3rd day.

Excellent!

Starting with a warm welcome by staff on arrival and check-in, our stay was perfect. Location is convenient and within walking distance of local food, supermarket and shopping mall. The exquisite black and white tiles on the footpath along the entrance of the hotel are reminiscent of the heritage of Penang. . Tea and coffee are available free of charge in the lobby at all times. The room is spacious, well designed, and very clean with daily service. It is well lit for reading or putting on makeup! There is a long wall mirror — perfect for the ladies. Filtered drinking water is free flow.

Good Location

I would have given it a 4 star if they had given us a king bed and 2 single beds as indicated during my booking 3 months ahead of check-in. We were given a King bed and a queen bed which is not appropriate for our family of 4 adults. Although they managed to separate the king bed into 2 single beds ( in the bigger master bedroom), the queen bed ( in a very small room) was still positioned next to a wall making it inconvenient for us ( 60plus yrs old ) to get out of bed safely. It was a inconvenience for the older parents. Location is very good as near to shopping malls and restaurants.

It was an average stay - reception staff could have been a bit more friendly! Doorman and housekeeping staff were great. Amenities in the room could be improved - it would be nice to have had some water waiting for me in the room when I arrived. Instead I had to go into the corridor and fill up a jug for myself. Also no iron or ironing board, which was frustrating. I think the biggest issue I had was the breakfast - probably the worst breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. Chaotic, terrible quality of food. Thankfully I had added breakfast on to my booking when I arrived - so after the first morning I requested a refund for the remaining days. It was truly a terrible breakfast - I’d really recommend they improve this!

The check in was easy and fast. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Only thing to improve is to ensure to brief the guest on the facilities like where is the pools and gym and also the free coffee. We were not told of these until we went to found out. Location is quite awkward. A little off from the many good foods (Kimberley street and Penang street). But overall still reachable. The plus point is there is a good local biscuits shop around and a supermarket nearby. Hin Bus depot is also within walking distance. The lighting at the pool can be improve. Quite dark at night. The Aircon in the room was not really controllable. We tried to set it at 25°C but after awhile, it automatically jumps back to default setting. Overall renovation is modern and cozy. Gives a nice welcoming feeling at the lobby.

We arrive around 2:30pm. The official check-in time is 3:00pm…. However, we cannot get in to the room until 3:25pm. As compared with other hotels, they always give me early check-in. It is very unreasonable and the receptionist cannot give me an apology ! I found them they even impolite and impatient! The pronunciation of the receptionists are very poor and you can’t hear what they say. But, the most important is that they think that their English is very excellent ! I said pardon and spoke slowly please, they show me a poker face ! Btw, the hardware of the hotel is excellent and new. Location is good and you can easily access to local food stall and shopping mall nearby. The surrounding environment is also perfect in GeorgeTown … Quiet, Beautiful and Clean. I think the hotel manager MUST re-train the receptionists or fire them ! Otherwise, they will spoil the reputation of the hotel !
