"I was a little disappointed on a couple of things, first being when I went to my room it was on the sale level as the electric car charging stations, with car owners sat staring in to my room, so I had to pull down the blackout blind for privacy, but I didn't want to I wanted day light, and the lighting in the room was poor, do dull for me. The second thing in the room that I wasn't overly happy with, is that I went to make a cup of tea and the tea spoon in the cup looked like it wasn't that clean, it actually looked like it had been in and out of someone's mouth, so no cup of tea for me. Final disappointment was the breakfast, typical cheap and nasty cooked produce, and sadly a warm buffet like so many hotels choose to provide, which resulted in my entire cooked breakfast being thrown in the bin, and a bowl of Frostys made do, not want I wanted and at £12.50 and expensive bowl of cereal, what's strange is the evening food was absolutely fine, and I wouldn't criticise anything that I had, on fact I really enjoyed it, so it shows they can produce food to a reasonable standard, so why not for breakfast, the most important meal of the day!!"

"Very helpful, friendly staff with super hospitality. Whilst the maintenance of the building is ongoing as it's still fairly new, there is progress being made every week and the Royal Lodge is a great place to stay. It has an excellent location in the Town Centre and is a must for any visitors to Maidstone and the surrounding areas. Highly recommend!"

"Sadly we didn't meet the owners, they were so helpful with various emails, directions, instructions, etc. our bedroom was huge, it is a very spacious home. An unexpected gem in the heart of Maidstone. We will definitely stay again if we visit Maidstone again, or recommend it if we don't. Thank you "

"Great Hotel"

"Some of the basics were not provided on our stay so really wasn't worth the money. Communication - didn't receive the check-in details by email as instructions said. The day before the stay I tried to contact the host multiple ways, including Hotels.com support x 2, with no luck. Eventually on the day of the stay I was told I would get the information at 12pm. At around 1pm I had not received the information so chased again. Was finally given the information at 2pm but was rudely told that check-in was not until 3. I was aware when check-in was but wanted the information ahead of arrival. When we arrived at 3.30 people were still present at the property. The WiFi did not work for the entirety of our stay. We booked for 5 people and only provided with 3 towels, one of which was still wet. There were no hand towels either. There were no bin bags in the bins and we couldn't find any in the property. The instructions in the property were to take the rubbish out, which we did but was not easy due to the lack of bin bags. "
