"Really beautiful guest house set in the Devonshire countryside and amazing hosts . Made to feel very welcome . Room was lovely , clean and the bed was so comfy !!! The homemade cake was a nice added touch . Delicious home cooked breakfast and beautiful fresh fruit and delicious granola !!!

"Hotel was well run and the chef kindly cooked some food of mine due to numerous dietary restricttions, and did it beautifully. Dog was welcome and much kindness shown to both of us. Would highly recommend particularly to solo travellers or those with dog."

"This is a grade 2 listed building and is beautiful. Some might say it's a bit outdated, but that's definitely part of its charm.
We had a huge room that was very clean and comfortable. The lady on reception was fantastic and helped me up with our luggage while my partner parked the car. There is pre bookable parking at the rear for only £6 a day, and you can park out front to sort out your luggage. The views are spectacular, and the room was lovely and quiet. There's no food available but plenty of places to eat in or take out close by. Reception staff were fantastic and so happy to help. They made us feel like royalty from the moment we booked the hotel. There is a lift if you need it. We plan to stay again as it was perfect and so special. "
"I needed a two night break to surf, see friends and get some space to recharge my batteries. The staff were most friendly and helpful. The accommodation was perfect and very clean, double bedroom with bathroom and towels, with a living room and small self catering kitchen. It was perfect for what I needed. I didn't actually use the other facilities but they looked nice. I thoroughly recommend this resort. Thank you for a wonderful time!"

"A great welcome after a long delayed trip. Our room was excellent, clean tidy with comfortable beds & quality bedding. Super large walk in shower room. Breakfast was superb. Staff very helpful & friendly. The location is perfect for a 10 minute walk into Barnstaple town centre along the promenade by the river. An excellent stay, shame it was only for one night. Highly recommend."
