"We just spent a night in this hotel. Room given to us good size room with small double size bed. Tea cups were not provided in the room, though a cattle and tea/coffee and microwave was provided. "
"Great little getaway. We stayed overnight, and had dinner in the restaurant. The food was great, and the staff were fantastic. Close to Winchester, but far enough to have a real countryside vibe!

"I stay in around 100 places each year for work and this was bad.
Poor quality fittings and fixtures vey well used. No soap, shower door didn’t close, toilet on some kind of strange plinth. Laminate falling to bits. No Freeview or terrestrial tv, streaming only but WiFi is so bad it doesn’t work at peak times 2 mattresses on bed bottom one very grubby
I think it’s a converted garage.
May suit someone with low standards I ended up leaving after 2 nights stayed last night elsewhere "
"Good value.
Building needs maintenance- we had to help other guests get into their rooms where doors were broken and door locks were sticking.
Location fab for Portswood and easy to find parking on a Saturday night ."

Village Hotel Southampton Eastleigh
10/10 Excellent
"My husband and I stayed here the night before our cruise and again the night after, our room on both nights were quiet as they were on the 3rd and 4th floor. the bed was a king bed and very comfortable and even though there was a glass door to the bathroom it was still private. The check in staff were very helpful and pleasant. There is a starbucks in the hotel which is perfect for a nice tea or coffee and a snack. My husband and I went for a meal in there bar and grill which was lovely. There was no wardrobe in either the rooms but there were hangers on a rail to put your clothes on. There is a bus stop down the road if your not driving, where you can go into Southampton or Winchester. We really liked this hotel even though it away from the port"
"Arrived slightly earlier than check in and was told the room was not ready but to help ourselves to tea and coffee. Greeted by Mateus....very very very helpful and friendly, credit goes to Mateus.
There is no air con at the hotel and the lift was broken at the time, we were lucky only staying on the first floor. That is the only negative to this review.
Staff was all round amazing! Very friendly and welcoming. Always working hard and it was busy! Credit to all your staff that was working during the weekend of the 21st-24th August.
If I needed anything, all I had to do was ask the staff and they would try their utmost to help.
I left my charger at home and the staff tried to help resolving the issue by finding me spare cables/plugs. To no avail, I ordered an charger to the hotel which they signed for and kept safe.
The breakfast was good and very busy during the morning. You could see the staff working very hard from clearing the tables to taking the guest to the tables. Respect you all. I just wish I got all your names to thank and mention you personally.
Props to the kitchen staff who was working tirelessly and it seemed relentless over the days during my stay.
Perfect for Paultons park. That was the main reason for the stay.
From Room 232 - Hope you enjoyed the pizza (kitchen staff) and Mateus you had a good break!
Will stay here again just for the staff! "
