"Stayed here recently and had a generally positive experience with a few notable drawbacks. The room itself was spacious and very clean, which made for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was also well-maintained and clean, with no issues on that front. One minor inconvenience was that the hot water took a little time to come through, but once it did, everything worked fine. The location is a major highlight. It’s in a great spot—very close to shops and within easy walking distance to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, which made getting around extremely convenient. Another plus is the staff—the employees were very polite and courteous, which made check-in and any interactions pleasant. The free continental breakfast was also a nice surprise—it’s actually pretty good and a convenient way to start the day. That said, there are a couple of downsides to be aware of. If you’re staying on the first floor facing Foam Street, be prepared for noise. The rooms are essentially at road level, with the street only about 15 feet from the window, so you will hear cars passing by throughout the day and night. Additionally, the walls seem fairly thin, so noise from neighboring rooms—kids, conversations, and footsteps from above—can be quite noticeable. Overall, it’s a solid option for location, cleanliness, and service, with a better-than-expected breakfast—but I’d recommend requesting a room away from the street and possibly on a higher floor for a quieter stay."

"Simple and Clean property, Amazing location with nearby River. Quick drive to Sequioa national park, Bit expensive for a Motel. But cleanliness, Facilities are better than expected. Would recommend."

"The wall by the restroom was exposed. The paint in the hallways where not inviting. There was a very load out burst from tenants down the hall about 12am in the morning. Some person was banging a door and screaming at the top of her lungs. Was not a pleasant stay especially on my birthday day weekend. "

"This would have been a great hotel IF the elevators worked. When we arrived for our 3 night stay we noticed they only had one (out of two) working elevator for this 4-story hotel. On the second day of our stay the remaining elevator stopped working, requiring everyone to use the stairs. It was fixed later in the day, so we assumed it would be okay and stayed for the night as planned. However, on the morning we needed to check out we found the elevator inoperable and were required to haul our luggage down from the 4th floor. We will be requesting a refund. "
