Sandbanks Hotel

8/10 Good

"Some areas showed their age . Staff where courteous and kind . Views are wonderful but the terrace needs tidying up. Breakfast was like a feast! 25 to 30 years ago we used to come regularly for several holidays a year. It's an old building and needs a brush up. They've tried to maximise money making on the terrace not all of which is easy on the eye . However despite criticism I'm already planning a return trip ."

"Nice easy check in, helpful staff, great breakfast. We saw a manager personally greet two staff laying tables, who must have been new, they seemed a bit overawed after he went out of his way to stop and chat to them and shake their hands. A mark of excellent people management which didn't go unnoticed."

"An excellent hotel conveniently located on the West Cliff which is about a 10 minute walk into the centre. Also quite close to the West Cliff Lift if you prefer to avoid the steepish walking option up/down. Lovely outside pool with lots of sun beds but they were very busy as we were in the middle of a heatwave when we visited! Two good restaurants on site. We stayed in the annex which was very nicely decorated, clean and cosy. Staff were friendly and professional. We didn't visit the spa/gym/indoor pool."
