"The room was clean and huge. We were so tired from driving that we were also very happy to see a hot tub in the room. Bonus. It felt great to relax after 16 hours of driving.Staff was great. I didn't do breakfast."

"Staff at check-in was awesome! Next day shower leaked water all over the bathroom floor making it very wet & slippery. I asked the front desk the for towels & she said we could only have 2. It was not enough to clean up the mess. Called for more towels & explained the situation, she said so you can only have 2 towels No More. Very rude about it & never offered to help clean up the mess with a mop & bucket then instead. Not impressed. Not good customer service. "

"The handle was broken on the bathroom door. The handicap seat in the shower was awfuly put on the wall as u had it against ur head as u sat in the tub. The pillows were yellow and smelled like mold. The beds are way to high. No options to get sodas or other drinks. The options for breakfast were so limited and poor tasting. I can't believe how much money i paid for one night and how cheap everything felt. "

"Lovely staff, very nice room. My ONLY issue was that the room didn't have even one USB port (which for me is a basic necessity these days in any hotel or any budget range), so I had to run to the gas station and pay $40 for a charger port. Other than that, EXCELLENT stay. Thank you!"

"The guest house is one of the most charming and accommodating places I have ever stayed in. The proprietor is a historian who is warm and personalizes the experience for each guest with humble grace. She has taken a late 1800's manor house and refurbished it to it's original elegance. Upon arrival, you get a tour of the house and if interested, a verbal tour of the history of the estate, the town, and the territory as it became a state. She reviews how the local businesses provided a major contribution in the development of the United States. Being a history buff myself, this was particularly intriguing to have my own , in-house, historian. She has created great accommodations with special attention to all of the details a weary traveler may have forgotten. The beds are very comfortable with silk pillowcases. There are extra throw blankets to keep one warm on an afternoon nap. Perhaps the coup de gras is her home cooked and lovingly prepared hearty, healthy breakfasts, each morning you arise. This Guest House embraces you and makes your stay better. SG"

"The hot tub was closed and that was not disclosed to us prior to our arrival. The pool was freezing and not useable. "
