Hotel Moon & Sun Porto

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is very clean/spotless and the staff are excellent too. Very friendly and helpful. Location is very good for all the sights of Porto, it is at the top of one of the many hills that make up Porto. Breakfast is good with a selection of hot and cold dishes, plus sweet and savoury pastries. Bar service is good, even though the bar area was quite small there are seating options at and around the reception area. We enjoyed our stay at Moon and Sun in Porto, they look after you well with nice touches like welcome drinks and cookies as you leave. I’d recommend trying this hotel if you are going to Porto and would definitely return if I visit again."

Pestana Vintage Porto Hotel & World Heritage Site

"The Pestana Vintage Porto hotel is in a fantastic location, right by the river in the Ribiera district. In fact, during the daytime, one of the most happening places is right in front of the hotel where hundreds of people gather at nearby cafes. For that reason, I'm glad we did not pay extra for a river view room, instead our window faced the small back street behind the hotel (which has a number of restaurants). So it was quiet at night. The service at the hotel was great, we arrived an hour before checkin time but they gave me the keys right away. The room was very comfortable and clean, some have mentioned the glass door on the shower but there is a curtain for privacy so no issues with that. Also the hotel provided a really good bottle of red wine for us because of my Expedia status. Breakfasts are amazing! Many choices including a fine selection of local cheeses, port, mimosas, pastel de nada, many desserts, many kinds of fresh fruit, eggs, bacon. My only complain is the "health club" is a tiny room with hardly any weights, so not much use. But I would stay here again for sure."
