"The hotel was clean, good breakfast, solid room and location, the rooftop was a vibe (I wish there were some warm food options). The only con was with using the elevators especially during rush hour like breakfast time and check-in time. It takes a very long time to go up and down. There are about 36 floors. There is a system where you scan to get on an elevator that will designate an elevator for you. During rush hour that elevator may open and it’ll be full before you even get on and have to rescan to get onto another elevator. When you get on the elevator, it’ll only take you to the floors that were designated through scanning. Coming down takes 10 min on average. The elevator makes all kinds of stops. It seems like every other floor it stops and no one comes on. If you have a schedule to stick to keep this in mind. Everything outside of this was great and I really enjoyed the location."

"I had a very nice stay at The Hotel Belleclaire on the Upper West Side. The hotel has a great classic New York feel, with a beautiful historic building and a location that is hard to beat. It’s close to Central Park, Riverside Park, the subway, great neighborhood restaurants, coffee shops, and everything that makes the Upper West Side feel both residential and full of life. The room was comfortable, clean, and well kept, with enough space to relax after a long day in the city. The design keeps some of the hotel’s old New York charm while still feeling updated and practical. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the overall atmosphere was quiet enough to get good rest, which is always appreciated in Manhattan. The staff was also friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Check-in was smooth, and the service felt professional without being cold. I also liked that the hotel felt more personal and neighborhood-oriented than a large, generic Midtown hotel. Overall, The Hotel Belleclaire is a great option if you want to stay in a charming, well-located hotel outside the busiest tourist areas, while still having easy access to the rest of the city. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who wants a comfortable Upper West Side stay with character, convenience, and a real NYC feel."
