"Breakfast is poor"

"My family and I stayed at the TJ Hotel for just one night, after our flight from the UK and before heading off to Koh Chang. The hotel was a very good choice, it was modern, clean, spacious rooms and the staff at reception and the pool/bar area were very friendly. We had an interconnecting room which was great for adults and kids who had a bit more privacy and space. The room was spotlessly clean, had complimentary water and a chargeable stocked mini bar too. The location seemed good, just off the beach road with plenty of bars, restaurants and a good night market close by. I'd recommend the hotel for a short or longer stay, it felt like a good base to explore and we would stay again if in the area. Thanks to the hotel and staff for an enjoyable stay. "

"I enjoyed my stay at the hotel, I was in the Jomtien wing and room was good, the Breakfast had a bit of everything but was hard to find a free table some mornings, I also had a few games of bowling in the hotel bowling alley, the only down side to the hotel was the main pool, there was never any free chairs around the pool area and the water was extreamly cloudy and dirty, I went in only once and even with goggles I could not see the botton of the 1.5mt pool due to how dirty and cloudy the water was, so never ventured to the pool for the rest of the stay. There is a second pool in the Jomtien Building but this also was not very inviting."

"The hotel looks great. The room was very nice, clean with ocean view. The room cleaners forgot to replenish the beach towels several times. My biggest disappointment was the private beach. To enter the water you have to walk over very sharp stones/rocky bits which was almost impossible to cross. On the way back to shore I tried to “walk” on my hands to ease the problem and got a nasty cut on my finger from those sharp stones. I would choose a better beach location in the future. "

"Nothing particularly special stands out about this place. The room was large and staff were friendly but that’s it. Of all the hotels I have stayed at in the area this one was the only one with unreliable wifi. "

"We stayed in the King Seaview room which had a marvelous view of the grounds and the beach. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we enjoyed the rain shower tremendously, best ever. The adult pool water temperature was perfect with built in seating areas looking out to the sea. Kids and adults alike enjoyed the wide water slide. Unfortunately the longer slide was temporarily closed. The only disappointment was the lack of information about the Pattaya floating market the hotel provided shuttle service for which was a huge let down and waste of $50 for 15 minute boat ride and zero boat vendors, which was our expecation."
