"Very expensive for what you get."

"Room was extremely tiny and cramped. Very basic. Nothing nice.had to go down an crappy run down steep stair case to get to the room. Felt like it was really only worth $85 a night not $160. "

"We had a lovely stay other than the fact that we paid for a queen bed and the bed was a full size. When I spoke to front desk they said that the owners claim all beds in that wing of the hotel are queens and kings but this was a common complaint they had. I would like to speak to management about this as I feel I was a little cheated out of my money. "

"Great location for walking around Monterey, however, not for getting a good night sleep. Had street facing room and had to sleep w/ windows open bc there’s no air conditioning. Nonstop noise from 12:30 am to morning. Conversations on the street, then two garbage collection and 2 different times, and then the 1hr squawking of seagulls before sunrise. Maybe, ask for an inside room if you value sleep. "

"Only stayed 2 nights. Enjoyed the service, friendly folks. Would recommend air circulation for the breakfast room. Our ADA room would benefit from large ceiling fan with bright lighting. The hot water was scarce in the morning, great at nighttime. The last minute hotel rate was excellent."

"We love this little motel. It's near everything. It's clean and quiet. Staff is nice and friendly. Carmel is 10-15 minutes away. Monterey Bay is 10 minutes away close to PCH for your drive to Big Sur."
