10/10 Excellent

"We live nearby and this is our second “Staycation” for an overnight. We were really impressed on our first stay. This time, there was a lot of energy as the hotel was packed with World Cup fans excited to attend the Portugal/Colombia match in Miami or watch it at the hotel. As such, it was much busier than previous which led to some difficulty finding chairs around the pool and getting the attention of waitstaff. Our room was nice-although it could use a little love. We went to the Diplomat Prime restaurant, which was new from our previous trip. The service was excellent. In the morning, we got lattes and breakfast items at the all-day cafe. The food was very good—although not cheap. Overall, this hotel has a beautiful location, a resort feel, and the service is pretty good. Perhaps, I would look for a little less busy weekend, or a weekday trip, to avoid the crowds."

"Overall, my stay was nice. I went for a long weekend with my son and he LOVED the pool and the hotel overall. However, the rooms could absolutely be cleaned and maintained better. There was hair and some gross elements in the room. Plus the room had a weird chemical/celery smell. The property itself is definitely getting old and it’s apparent—the elevators were not working properly the entire weekend which resulted in long wait times. Other than those issues the staff is great. The valet staff really stood out—they were VERY busy but also extremely accommodating and kind."

"Five star hotel!!! Staff were friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check in early. Free shuttle to and from the airport. Free warm breakfast! Rooms were huge and well maintained. So many positives another this hotel. We will definitely stay here again!"
