"I will be back as I did not have enough time this trip. Lovely hotel with exceptional Everything. Rooms are gorgeous and beds are comfy, everything really nice and they think of everything. Parking is tricky, but expected since it is downtown and it is close & rate is reasonable. Room was beautiful and fireplace works. If you love older architecture, you will be as happy. It is a bit of everything. Beautiful and fun decor. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Highly Recommended!"

"Convenient airport shuttle. Quick and efficient check-in / check-out. Quiet location despite proximity to airport. Our room was decent size. Convenient electrical outlets for charging laptop / phones. Working desk is small but adequate. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water. Nice variety for breakfast. (I miss the frozen cheese omelets, but the scrambled eggs were excellent.) Perkins Restaurant within easy walking distance. Hy-Vee grocery and deli in the shopping mall across the street for self-catering. Many other dining options available if you have your own transport. We use this place almost every time we fly into Des Moines. Still good value for money."
